Main Features

This device is a high-voltage controller for a cascade-type electrostatic spray gun—Pack-In (solvent-based) and Semi-Pack-In (water-based)—equipped with a high-speed, high-performance 32-bit CPU.

It consists of the cascade unit and a flexible low-voltage cable connecting the cascade to the controller, and is designed to be compatible as a replacement for the existing RIC800-type high-voltage controller. Signal exchange with external devices (such as PLCs and robots) is supported through standard I/O connections and CC-Link communication. The high-voltage output can be set in four-stages, each adjustable within a range of -5 to 100 kV.

The safety circuit includes functions such as: overcurrent detection with absolute sensitivity (CL) and slope sensitivity (SL); low-voltage cable disconnection detection (WT); cascade overcurrent detection (OC); undercurrent detection (UC); overvoltage detection (OV); undervoltage detection (UV); cascade overvoltage detection (COV); constant-voltage fault detection (CVE); leakage current detection (LK1–3); CT undervoltage detection (CTLV); overheat detection (OH); and maximum voltage, current, and power over-limit detection (OVR).

In the event of abnormality detection, high voltage is immediately shut off and an alarm signal is sent to external devices, remaining active until a reset input is received. By properly setting and managing the sensitivity of these safety circuits according to the coating line, coating operation can be carried out with a high level of safety.

On the panel display, two channels are equipped with digital indicators for high-voltage output (kV) and high-voltage current (µA), each of which can be controlled independently. Settings and monitoring are available via a Schneider touch panel as well as through PC connection.
